Meet the next Al Gore

Obviously I’m not a big fan of Sunlight, preferring to use natural laundry detergents like Ecover or soap nuts. But I do think this green awards campaign of theirs, Eco-Action Kids, is kinda cute. In the 6 – 7 age category, I voted for Manuel, for this reason alone: “When I go to the toilet, I do not flush just for a small pee. It’s better to flush only after two pees.” Word up, Manuel. Word up.

  2. Right on, little man. No flushing just for a small pee!

  3. Hi there, just finding your site! It’s great. Kind of funny that a detergent that is not eco-friendly at all is running this campaign, don’t you think?

you mean there are kids out there that DO flush? My boys work on the – if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown start running as soon as you hear mum yelling!!

we are living with water restrictions here -max 140L per person per day (we use less town water but use some tank water too), no outside water use, 4 min showers- so dual flush toilets are pretty much standard, as are low flow showers (makes a 4 min shower a pretty perfunctory thing!) the low flow shower head is ok when you get used to it -have you got one in your new house?
The only problem with the let it mellow thing is that the vinegar doesnt clean the bowl that well.

It is blogs like this that are to blame! :) I’ve been so inspired that I decided to create my own site.
