It’s been really interesting and inspirational. I’m trying to green my own life, and you eco-bloggers are giving me a kick in the butt.

It’s actually really easy to make your own ketchup. It’s yummier than store bought, and you can make it as sweet or tangy as you desire. Do a web search for recipes, but it’s just tomato paste, sugar, vinegar, water & spices. I’m sure it’s a bit more of a hassle when you start with fresh tomatoes, but I just use organic tomato paste. Plus you can make it in small quantities which is a bonus for the fridge-free life.

When I was little my mom made her own ketchup and I was oblivious that it was done any other way. I came home from kindergarten to tell my mom the great news one day that they had ketchup AND you can get it from the store. Good times!
