OK, in my opinion, this is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, but bear in mind that I also have very crass and offensive taste in humour and probably like Will Ferrell more than is healthy.

It was funny up until the rape “joke”–that made me cringe.
I know, JC, I totally felt the same way! If they’d left that part out, I think it would have been just as funny (and less cringey).

There is so really fine writing about this in Shakespeare’s Sister. Using rape as comedy is becoming a real trend as pointed out in this link. I am not amused.
This is a big disappointment because I really like Will Ferrell and turning the perceptions of green on its ear is hilarious.
Shakesville is what Shakespeare’s Sister is now called. I was fond of the Virgina Wolfe reference of the former name, so I mistakenly used the old name.
I second the cringing at the rape joke and murder boner but also the (otherwise) loving of Will Ferrell. This definitely was not his best moment.
